Solar Parabolic Trough Trainer

HYDRO_SCONC

The Solar Parabolic Trough Trainer is a compact, hands-on educational system designed to demonstrate the principles of concentrating solar thermal energy. It uses a parabolic reflector to focus sunlight onto a central receiver tube, through which a heat transfer fluid circulates. This setup allows learners to study high-temperature fluid heating, thermal energy conversion, and collector efficiency.

Equipped with a manual or automatic single-axis solar tracking system, the trainer maintains optimal alignment with the sun, maximizing energy capture. Temperature sensors at the inlet, outlet, and ambient points, along with a data acquisition unit, enable real-time monitoring and analysis of system performance.

Mounted on a durable frame, the trainer is suitable for outdoor and simulated indoor use, making it ideal for renewable energy labs and academic institutions focused on solar thermal education.

Key Features:

  • Solar tracking mechanism (manual/automatic)

  • High-temperature fluid circulation system

  • Temperature monitoring at multiple points
